AbouT MELISSA

I care about creating a meaningful & compassionate space for others to find their own fulfillment and joy. Humans never cease to amaze me - their stories, their pain, their resilience, their longing and determination to find what works for them. As a result of my past 8 years of counseling experience, I have developed immense appreciation for my clients ability to overcome adversity and create meaningful connections with themselves and those around them.

I’ve helped people struggling with: grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, divorce, infidelity, ADHD, substance abuse, anger, eating disorders, panic attacks, life adjustments, relational conflict, aging, retirement, perinatal, pregnancy, postpartum, and Motherhood/Fatherhood adjustments.

Thankfully, I’ve been fortunate to gain experience throughout the past decade from working in each level of care including: residential treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, and private practice. I can provide counseling services in English and Spanish, thanks in part to my unique cultural upbringing.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, I truly believe laughter disarms the heart. Humor is a gift and we will definitely enjoy it wisely.
